FAQs
What is the mission & purpose of BBLA?
Our mission is to equip current and former student athletes with the skills they need to create and execute a life-after-sports plan. We want to help as many minority and ethnic athletes transition from the locker room into the boardroom.
Who is the program for?
BBLA is for current and former student athletes who are….
Between the ages of 14-22 year old
Transitioning into college, trade school, or workplace environments
Sitting out with an injury & considering their options in life
From marginalized communities & with limited access to career leaders
Seeking to diversify their athletic resume with skills attractive to coaches & colleges
How many student athletes are you accepting?
BBLA, Inc. will accept up to 100 student athletes into the program every year. Sign up to be enrolled in the program today.
How was BBLA formed?
The heart to birth BBLA originated while sitting in a hotel watching Student-Athlete by SpringHill Entertainment on HBO back in 2018. And with recent racial disparities uncovered during 2020’s historical pandemic it was time to implement a plan for breaking down barriers and opening doors of opportunities for more student athletes to be positive agents of change for their communities.
What’s the goal of BBLA?
Ultimately it is the founder’s desire to reach current and former athletes between 14-22 years of age and provide them with the tools and resources useful to loving life after sports, aligning talents to a profession, and provide pathways to economic gains to improve the world they live in.
